ABOUT

Welcome to Genki Design

Genki is a Japanese word, and although it doesn’t have a direct translation, it roughly means well, happy, and healthy in mind, body and spirit.

These ideas became my motivation in working for myself and creating balance – both in my own life and in the designs I create for my clients.

In my Adelaide-based studio, client relationships come first, closely followed by all of the little details that make your business as special as the person behind it.

Genki Design is small enough to deliver the focus and dedication your project deserves, ensuring that you’re part of the process every step of the way, and bold enough to produce the kind of results that get you noticed, fast.

I provide expertise on all facets of the process, from preliminary design stages to final production, print management and delivery.

I’ve worked with a bunch of established brands and small start ups to create innovative, practical solutions to their needs, from branding, wine labels and websites to large-scale print projects for the education and health sectors – no job is to small or too sophisticated.

Meet the owner

Hi! I’m Tamara Oaten – but my friends call me Tam.

And when we work together, you will, too!

I pride myself on delivering a super friendly, high-touch client experience where you are part of the process every step of the way.

Genki Design was born in 2006, after over a decade of studio based experience in Australia and abroad, out of a desire to create work-life balance, happy clients, and beautiful, practical designs.

Since then, I’ve made that dream possible working with many wonderful clients and have produced countless pieces of work, some of which can be found in my gallery here.

When I’m not creating eye-catching designs or taking my mini-me to soccer training, I’m creating swoon-worthy interiors for my own home reno – and let me tell you, that’s been a labour of love, you can follow the journey right here.

Let's work together!
